Today, I decided to give myself a break and not set any goals for the next three months. The constant drive to work, start new projects, and expand has been ingrained in me since childhood, and it's time to find balance without guilt.
Patterns, like this one, start off being helpful, but with time, if we don't address them, they can become cages that control us instead of choices we make. So for the next three months, I'm only going to focus on what I absolutely have to do and enjoy the rest of my time. More walks, socializing, downtime, and simply being. It's a bit nerve-wracking not pushing forward, but I'll embrace it.
Do you have a pattern that controls you? Are you aware of your patterns? Whether it's fear-based, people-pleasing, perfectionism, feeling not good enough, adopting a victim mentality, being a caretaker, or withholding, the list goes on!
